Where success is tradition

In Lübeck successes have been celebrated for hundreds of years. Not only owing to the finest ingredients, which have left their mark on the city right from the very outset, but above all because of its geographical location as the gateway to the Baltic Sea Region and Central Europe. It all began in the 12th century when Lübeck became a trading settlement. The era of the Hanseatic League began and the city on the River Trave celebrated many more great successes, not least as the most important trading and production center in Northern Europe. It became a magnet for companies, industries sprang up and an important infrastructure developed.
